Meet Randalynne

Meet Randalynne, a sweet little girl who was born with bilateral Microtia and Atresia. For the first year of Randalynne’s life, her family struggled trying to find the help and answers they were looking for. In fact, Randalynne’s family found themselves going from doctor to doctor trying to find information about a hearing device that would help her hear better. Randalynne’s family was finally referred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where they found out about the Microtia and Atresia Clinic. During their first appointment, they met clinic staff, including Dr. Margaret McRedmond. Within a month of the family’s first clinic visit, they were given a loaner hearing device for Randalynne to wear. On Randalynne’s 1st birthday, her family received a call from the clinic that her very own hearing device was there waiting for her.

“We are very pleased with the way they all have treated us and Randalynne. If it wasn’t for us getting referred to Vanderbilt we would probably still be getting the run around. We are very thankful for Vanderbilt and Dr. McRedmond and all the staff for everything they have done for Randalynne and how much they taught us about her diagnosis. Randalynne is our miracle baby. And she’s always smiling and laughing and she is so much more vocal now that she has her device.”  – The Hobbs Family
